Old cake.....

I forgot to post this forever ago! With the Playoffs on right now on our tv, it reminded me! This was a peanut butter silk cake. LOL!

My brothers' graduation party cupcakes

I got to decide on the flavors and it was so fun doing some unique flavors that many people don't get an opportunity to taste. There were approximately 80 cupcakes. The party was a luau themed party. I chose these flavors:

French toast cupcakes with maple syrup buttercream and a a piece of crisp bacon for that salty taste to balance the sweetness
White cake with strawberry jam filling and cream cheese icing
Old-fashioned butter pecan cupcakes with buttercream and fresh pecans for garnish
Chocolate cupcakes with crunchy peanut butter buttercream and a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup to garnish
Margarita lime cupcakes with a mild lime buttercream

One guess which flavor was gone and eaten first? Yep, the French toast cupcakes!

Congrats to the Class of 2011! I am so proud of you Adam and Jacob! I love you!

Shabby Chic 2 tier cake

This was a fun one to do! This cake was being taken to The Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, NC for a Bday party for a 12-year-old girl. This order included 1 dozen cupcakes that were showcased in these beautiful cupcake wrappers. They really do dress up the cupcakes!
The "R" monogram on top is edible and was made with fondant/tylose and has edible pearls embedded in the letter also.

Graduation time!

Lingerie Gift Box Cake

This cake feeds approximately 40 servings. The lid is made from styrofoam that I covered with chocolate fondant. Everything else is edible.

Wonderful cake topper idea!

I just ran across this shop on Etsy and just had to share! I think this is a wonderful idea for a unique, cake topper! The price is really good. I am ordering 2 for my girls for their cakes this year.
They can do any character you'd like and you get to choose from a selection of very neat fonts. Initially I was going to go with a character, but I think my girls would love to see themselves on their cake!
