Shabby Chic 2 tier cake

Share

This was a fun one to do! This cake was being taken to The Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, NC for a Bday party for a 12-year-old girl. This order included 1 dozen cupcakes that were showcased in these beautiful cupcake wrappers. They really do dress up the cupcakes!
The "R" monogram on top is edible and was made with fondant/tylose and has edible pearls embedded in the letter also.

This was for a birthday party for a photographer. This is 2 dozen cupcakes with edible flowers on each cupcake, a 8" cake iced with buttercream and then fondant scrolling that was handcut, hot pink flower and a edible camera made from rice krispy treats and fondant. There was an edible image of the birthday girl/photographer on the back of the camera. The cake was strawberry and the cupcakes were lemon flavor. I delivered this to a beautiful restaurant in High Point called Gullah, Gullah.
This was for a 3 year old little bot's birthday. Sesame Street was the theme of course! I delivered to the Children's Museum in Greensboro. This was 3 dozen cupcakes with a 6" top cake. The are cupcake rings for each cupcake and a seet up characters as well for the top cake. This was all yellow cake with buttercream icing.

Black and White with a little pink Cupcake Tower

Morgan, who was turning 8, requested a black and white theme cupcake tower. She also likes a little pink. Each cupcake was decorated differently. The cake is a 6" square chocolate cake, covered in fondant with an edible fondant bow with an edible broach made of fondant and edible pearls and edible fondant calla lillies. This was my first time making a bow and the lillies. Not too hard really. I thought they'd be harder. I used both black licorice and black royal icing for decorating the cupcakes. As well as fondant cutouts and hand-made bows. Fun, fun!
